“Dogs deserve our love and attention not a life of ‘solitary confinement’ at the end of a chain. Dogs depend on us to take care of them, to keep them safe and healthy. Chaining a dog is one of the cruelest things you can to do them – they are social animals.” -Suge Knight
Former Death Row Records CEO, Marion “Suge” Knight, will be one of the new faces of PETA for their anti-dog Chaining campaign. Knight is scheduled to shoot ads for the campaign in the coming weeks. He joins others in Hip Hop such as Waka Flaka Flame, who is featured in the same campaign, and The Roots in working with PETA.
I can’t help but to wonder if this is stemming from some idea that Black folks are the main perpetrators of animal cruelty when it comes to dogs, even though it has been proven since the Michael Vick case that we’re not. *Sigh* PETA.
