New York City wants to make it easier for you to find a condom. The Health Department launched a free mobile phone application to help you locate the 5 nearest New York City venues that distribute free NYC Condoms.

They really want you to get these condoms so they’ve already considered the “Hey, I don’t know how to get to that condom location baby, so let’s just go raw.” The app gives you specific directions to get the condoms based on your GPS identified location so they’ve got you covered. (See what I did there?)

New York has 1,000 condom distribution locations throughout the 5 boroughs.

New Yorkers with Android or Apple mobile phones should search for ‘NYC Condom’ in the Android Market or the iPhone App Store on their respective devices. There’s more info about it on the The NYC Condom Facebook page.

The Health Department advises: “If you choose to have sex, using a condom correctly and consistently is still the best method of reducing the transmission of HIV and other STIs, including Chlamydia, genital herpes, syphilis and hepatitis B and C.”
