“Sending out a vibe of peace and solidarity.” -Conscious

On Friday March 11, a 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Japan triggering tsunami up to 10 meters (30 feet) and tsunami warnings throughout the Pacific. More than 10,000 people may have been killed and the country is fighting to avert a meltdown at crippled nuclear reactors as I write this. Japan is facing its biggest crisis since World War II. So what can you do?

There are the usual places you can donate to or you can get creative, sending those in need a good wish in your own way.

Artist/rapper Conscious returned from tour in Japan only a few months ago and was moved to act. He has decided to be of service to those in Japan in his own way.

Today I’m uploading the album here swift.fm/iAreConscious and will leave it up indefinitely. It’s also available for download on Bandcamp.com iareconscious.bandcamp.com. There’s no minimum to download it. That means you can have it for free.

Conscious says even though those who hosted him on his recent stay in japan are safe he intends to get a fundraiser together. “While I’m happy to know that my family and friends there are safe, still their lives and countless others have been affected tremendously.”

Enjoy a stream or download of the entire album Konnichiwa (K)ninja.
