Nas And Damian Marley Head To Egypt For “Patience” Video And An Update On The Protests

Yeah, Nas and Damiam Marley put out the album Distant Relatives was released last year and before that had been a long time coming but the duo has dropped a new video for “Patience”. I guess it took that long for this diamond of a video to get pressed into existence. There’s an Egyptian theme in the visually stunning Nabil Elderkin-directed video that feels timely considering the world’s eyes are on Egypt right now as the protests continue.

The song samples the Amadou & Mariam track ‘Sabali’ which translates to ‘Patience’ in Bamanankan, a language spoken in West Africa. Mariam also makes a cameo appearance.
