I’m not doing this for me really, this is for the people. I haven’t made $1 out of WKCR. I’ve never gotten a check from them…I love what I do.
I just hope there’s a voice of reason out there at Columbia, at WKCR, that’s really looking at the situation like ‘Wow this is what we’re going to be losing if we lose the radio show.
It’s not just a host that happens to be funny and good looking…[Studio erupts in laughter]…I gotta crack jokes cause it’s really sad man. ~Sucio Smash
On October 17 Jay Smooth, Super vlogger and host of WBAI’s Underground Railroad interviewed Sucio Smash, the host of Squeeze Radio on WKCR, Columbia University Radio in New York City, and worldwide.
Columbia University will cancel the Squeeze Radio show on its 20th anniversary, and in doing so will destroy a piece of history and Real Hip-Hop in New York as I wrote in more detail in Help Save The Squeeze Radio Show.
The anniversary was on October 14 and that will effectively be the last show if the show can’t be saved. Sign the Petition to help Save Squeeze Radio
