“Murder Weapon” is a reworking of the classic dancehall hit from Jamaican-born Echo Minott, originally released in the early ’90s. Tricky’s “Murder Weapon” has a dark, slick, modern update on the “Oh Carolina” riddim of the original Shaggy made popular.

As the legend goes the UK producer fell in love with the track and was determined to hear how it would sound with a female vocalist so for this song he chose Irish-Italian Franky Riley. This makes her recording debut here with Tricky on his new album “Mixed Race” due out the 27th of September in the UK and October 5th in the US.
