Our only chance of long-term survival is not to remain inward looking on planet Earth, but to spread out into space…
Our population and our use of the finite resources of planet Earth are growing exponentially, along with our technical ability to change the environment for good or ill.” ~Stephen Hawking
In an interview with the science website Big Think famed theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking said humankind should abandon the planet and colonize space in the next 200 years. He said we’re maxing out the world’s resources without the ability to reverse that. Nuclear war is also a concern of his sparked by the 1963 Cuban missile crisis.
