This happened last week but it’s worth repeating: President Obama spoke with workers at Smith Electricâ€™s new factory in Kansas City. MO. With $32 million from the Recovery Act and $36 million in private capital the electric vehicle company is building up to 500 all-electric trucks — creating jobs and cleaning the air we breathe.
Most electricity comes from coal though, which also contributes to global warming, so this is also dismaying. Our coal habit rivals and beats or oil addiction.
