Vinegar can be used to clean fish tanks. Arnold on had a goldfish he loved. Do you remember his name? Find out below. RIP Gary Coleman

Vinegar is defined as “An impure dilute solution of acetic acid obtained by fermentation beyond the alcohol stage and used as a condiment and preservative” [1]but it’s so much more. You can use it as a natural alternative to the harsh chemicals we use to clean our homes, furniture, and even our hair.

Home Cleaning Products
Vinegar can be used to clean your refrigerator, microwave, fine china, windows, glassware, chrome and plastic bathroom fixtures. You can also get tomato sauce stains off of tupperware, unclog your showerhead by dipping it in vinegar with boiling water and unclog your drain by adding baking soda with your vinegar.

Bugs and Pet Products
You can use vinegar to clean your goldfish tank fish tank, deter ants, keep cats away, get rid of pet urine stains and keep your dog from scratching it’s ears.

Laundry Products
There are also chemicals in many fabric softeners and laundry detergents that some have bad reactions to. Not only that, it can be used to get rid of deodorant stains, keep bright colors bright, get rid of lint, get the smoke smell out of clothes and freshen your washing machine.

Reduction of our exposure to harmful chemicals is imperative. Ingredients in products we buy for are homes can cause chemical burns with skin contact and brain damage with a lack of ventilation. They can smell pretty bad, worse than vinegar if you’re concerned about that smell, and they are expensive. Consider the uses above, protect your health and keep your wallet fat.

In this mini episode of Diff’rent Strokes called “The Trial” Mr. D finds a goldfish in his hot tub and Arnold is suspect #1.
