GIVE A GREEN VALENTINE THIS YEAR- THE GIFT OF CLEAN WATER
on February 13th, 2010 at 1:27 pmWhat’s more green than giving? Here in the US many of us have access to clean drinking water but in other parts of the world it is a very scarce commodity.
This Valentine’s Day, you can send a charity: water e-card through an organization called charity: water. You have 12 different design choices to send.

Each $20 card can give a person clean water for 20 years. The $100 card can provide water for a family of 5. According to their website 100% of your money goes to freshwater projects in developing nations.
Sure $20 sounds steep but it’s an option for V-Day.
The person who receives your card will be able to choose one of three countries where they’d like the money to go.
It will last longer than flowers.

I’m not really sure why the clay Asian kid and the presumably African dude have such unnatural complexions, but you have 9 other options to check out on their website at charitywater.org/ValentinesDay
Shouts to AP215 for putting me on to this charity.
