According to tv.com when actor/comedian John Leguizamo was interviewed by Conan O’Brien this is what he said about being from the New York City and getting sent to the Fresh Air Fund when he was 8 years old.

John Leguizamo: [Talking about childhood] My parents would get rid of me, they would send me to the Fresh Air Fund for two weeks.

Conan: Fresh Air Fund is a nice organization, they actually take kids from the inner city and they take them up to like Vermont, New Hampshire…

John Leguizamo: To a rich, white family for about two weeks.

Conan: Yeah, well what was that like?

John Leguizamo: Well it was great, I mean you get three meals a day,
lead-free paint chips.

Conan: These are terrific! Not that lead after-taste! What was the family like, the Fresh Air family, cause those are nice people.

John Leguizamo: Waspy, really waspy and always drinking they had like a little cocktail and a little arguing and then the quiet and the daughters would get naked in front of me.

Conan: What are you talking about? The daughters would take off their clothes?

John Leguizamo: We had these big meals and chocolate pudding and then the girls would get naked for me in my room.

Conan: Chocolate pudding followed by nudity is like…that’s my favorite combo.

John Leguizamo: It was the first time I ever saw one of those things, it was amazing.

Conan: Ahh… pudding is everywhere. They have it in stores…
