So You Know How To Save Paper, But Do You Know How To Save Ink?
on July 28th, 2009 at 7:00 amThere are lots of ways to save paper and we want to save paper because we want to save trees, right? That’s all fine and good I guess but what about printer ink? Less consumption is a good idea for the environment but saving money has a more immediate and observable reward. Let’s face it, these days saving a buck or two is a good idea. So the good folks at SPRANQ have made a font that is designed to help save printer ink, its good for the environment and it saves money. 3 birds, 1 stone!
The creative marketing and communications company came up with a font called Ecofont that could make “your ink cartridges (or toner)… last longer.” It works by removing parts of the letter using small circles that leaves each letter still readable while using up 20% less ink to print. The font shown above is Eco Sans Regular. Oh yeah, and it’s free to download here.
